Whew! Thank goodness for a good night’s sleep as we headed back to the terminal. Fortunately Cyndi has access to a wonderful lounge, that we took full advantage of, starting off with espresso martinis!

We even had a light breakfast as well.

More drinks followed once we were on board our Air India flight. This was the first time I splurged for business class so we would have a bed for the 14 1/2 hour flight to Delhi. Service and food were fabulous.

All went well as they helped me set up for bed and I changed into the pjs they supplied. Until I tried to sleep with the screeching baby behind me. Needless to say even my noise canceling headphones didn’t help much. But we arrived safely in Delhi.
What a chaotic experience that was! People everywhere and I was soon to realize that they wend their way through airports the same way they drive! Crazy. After much ado we got thru immigration, finally found our bags, got through customs, rechecked the bags and made our way to the domestic flight to Kolkata.
Two hours later we got through that airport and were met by the driver Cyndi had arranged. And what a drive that was! Horns aplenty and no use of turn signals or lanes. But an hour later we found our way to a rather unique hotel across from the US Consulate. Luckily there was a bar downstairs for us to grab a quick drink before we collapse into bed.

Glad you are there safe!! Let the adventure begin!!
