It was breakfast at the hotel then time to get our suits on under our clothes, grab some beach towels and head out.
This Island is definitely one to rent a small car. Very limited tours. If ever you would rent an ATV it would be here- not on Santorini. The roads are crazy! Very, very narrow, many only wide enough for one small vehicle then you hope you don’t meet someone coming the other way. Once we went up such a tiny road only to come to a dead end. Good thing Jayne was great at driving that stick shift and doing a multi point turn on a hill. All I could do was get out and offer directions.

We first made our way down a very narrow, curvy road to the fishing village of Klima. Very tiny and totally picturesque with small houses all with the traditional white paint but with all different bright colors on the trim. Charming. We walked all along the beach with Josie diligently trying to either find rocks flat enough to skip or find small fish to catch.
We then drove more crazy roads to Sarakiniko. What an other worldly spot! White volcanic cliffs leading down to a beautiful inlet. Probably more people than we’ve seen elsewhere on this island but still not crowded. We all waded in which felt wonderful as the sun was beating down which made it really hot. Such a unique place!

After that we were searching for some sustenance but had to go all the way down to the port before finding anything open. And finding parking. Jayne met both challenges. A glass of wine (I’ve grown rather fond of the Turkish and Greek white wines) and some appetizers along the seaside and we were replenished.
Back to the hotel to relax. Jayne and Josie got back in the pool while she did a bunch of handstands. After cleaning ourselves up we went back to the port for dinner. Jayne found a unique restaurant that specialized in homemade dishes from a grandmother. Right up my alley. Delicious. We finished the evening finding a gelato shop for Josie.
Milos was exactly what I wanted after the very touristy island of Santorini. Not a touristy thing anywhere here. Just island beauty.
Our last night in the islands.
